GSP is an International Education and Training Finalist in the 2022 Premier’s NSW Export Awards

For the second year in a row, Global Study Partners (GSP) is a finalist under the national International Education and Training category for the 2022 Premier’s NSW Export Awards.

GSP features alongside three more businesses in the category. Co-founded by Elaine Starkey in 2015 on the digital disruption approach, Elaine was determined to create a compelling proposition for the international education sector, transforming lives through education and building a globally connected community of students. GSP has placed international students from 22 countries in key study destination markets, including Australia, the UK, Ireland, US and Canada.

GSP has recast the traditional international student recruitment model into one that is more collaborative, integrated, transparent, and comprehensive.

By combining our digital platform and strong service culture, GSP expanded its footprint outside Australia, working with 3,000 channel partnerships in 85 countries. GSP has established and maintained a physical presence in the following countries: Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Kenya, Ghana, India, Nepal, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Indonesia, Philippines, Turkey, UK and Vietnam.

In 2021, GSP was awarded the NSW Government Export Award for International Education and Training. Additional awards have followed, including Swinburne University’s 2021 Outstanding Conversion Award and the recent recognition of GSP’s CEO Elaine Starkey’s contribution to export partnerships as the 2022 Business Woman of the Year at the India-Australia Business Council Awards.

GSP has over 800 institution partners in Australia, the UK, Canada, the US, and other emerging international student destinations like Germany, France, Switzerland, Singapore and China.

Together with upGrad, GSP embarks on a bold international strategy to grow its operations to cater to the unique needs of the emerging international student source markets. While expanding its source markets, GSP also looks at strengthening institution partner relationships by setting up significant operations in San Francisco and London by the end of 2022.

The 2022 Premier’s NSW Export Awards are delivered in partnership with the Export Council of Australia (ECA), recognising businesses across 13 national and four NSW state categories. Since 1957, ECA has functioned as the apex body providing education and training to each Australian business in the global trade ecosystem. It serves as a platform to showcase the achievements and contributions of businesses to the economy. Minister for Enterprise, Investment and Trade Stuart

Ayres said, “This is our chance to recognise these essential businesses, celebrate their achievements and thank them for their important role in strengthening our economy.”
