Medicine and Medical Sciences
Doctors, also known as physicians, are licensed health professionals who maintain and restore human health through the practise of medicine. They examine patients, review their medical history, diagnose illnesses or injuries, administer treatment, and counsel patients on their health and well being. Medical scientists could conduct medical laboratory test to provide information for diagnosing, treating and preventing disease. A medical scientist may specialise in haematology, immunology, transfusion science, clinical biochemistry, microbiology, histopathology, cytology, molecular genetics, or even virology.
